Beazley Designs of the Year 2016

2016

Client: The Design Museum
Employer: All Things Studio

All Things Studio was responsible for designing one of the first exhibitions at the new Design Museum in Kensington. "Beazley Designs of the Year" showcases approximately 75 projects that spotlight design's capacity to drive change, facilitate accessibility, expand design methodologies, or encapsulate the essence of the year's spirit.

During my internship in my second year of university, I had the privilege of contributing to this exhibition design project under the guidance of All Things Studio's creative director.

Our design concept drew inspiration from the museum's relocation to the former Commonwealth Institute, symbolizing a building and institution in the midst of a remarkable transformation. The design extensively employed plaster as a primary material, which not only embodies the concept of transformation but also showcases its own historical journey of production.
